Everything takes place at a school that has been darkened for the sake of Horror Nun 2. Large halls and secret rooms make escape attempts unpleasant.

The game goes beyond mere flight, gradually revealing the tragic history tied to Sister Madeline. The connection between her and Elisa slowly exposes the personal anguish that drove Madeline’s decisions into the darkest of realms. Nazrat emerges as the supernatural force behind this transformation, adding layers of depth to the overarching mystery. Later stages introduce new cinematic sequences and increasingly complex puzzles. Sister Madeline is always lurking nearby, turning routine exploration into a test of sanity and stealth. Every object found may expose a new route or contribute to the terror overtaking the building. Locked doors are more than just obstacles; they are reminders that secrets lie beyond, not yet ready to be revealed. Horror Nun 2 lets you dread every shadowy stride rather than rush into combat.
Use the mouse to look around and the WASD or arrow keys to move. Press Shift to crouch—reducing noise and the risk of detection—and the F key to interact with the environment. Crouching is crucial when slipping through dangerous areas or taking cover. Interacting with objects requires precision and sometimes demands that you stand still for a few seconds. The basic control system keeps the strain on your decisions—to progress or hide, open or pass a door. Players gradually develop the habit of moving stealthily and checking blind spots before entering new spaces.
