Paint or Hunt

Paint or Hunt pits the skill of color mixing against the natural hunting urge. The deftness of concealment meets the sharpness of observation on every map.

The Perfect Camouflage—And A Tool For The Hunt

Inspired by the "Meccha" style, this hide-and-seek game pits two teams—Hiders and Hunters—against each other across seven vibrant maps. The Hiders' ability to blend in and the Hunters' ability to notice anything suspicious determine the result. Hiders use a color-dropper tool to sample the hues of their environment and apply them to their own bodies. They then choose from seventeen distinct poses to vanish seamlessly into the scenery. After the preparation phase and signal, the Hunters attack, inspecting every suspicious form and shooting everything that doesn't belong. The duration of the hiding and hunting phases, as well as the number of Hunters, are all customizable. Matches can be played online or locally with two players on the same device.

The Art Of Vanishing From Sight

At the start of a round, Hiders are given time to find the most convincing spot on the map. The color-dropper tool allows them to precisely replicate the shades of walls, foliage, or nearby objects, coating their characters entirely. The appropriate pose—from seventeen—and location and orientation decide whether a Hider survives the round or is found. Lying on a rooftop for an urban map or crouching near a tree for a woodland map may work. Adjusting brush size and locking the rotation angle ensures a smooth, seamless coat of color, leaving no tell-tale edges behind. Every choice of pose and color is highly tactical; even the slightest discrepancy can lead to exposure.

Relentless Hunting

Once the preparation phase ends, the Hunters enter the map with a single objective: to track down everyone in hiding. Listening for acoustic clues like a signal whistle and seeing figures with slightly off-key hues might assist identify masked people. A well-aimed shot at an object that looks out of place in the environment will end that Hider’s round. Hunters must maneuver and maintain multi-angle surveillance to find every hidden nook on the large map. As the number of remaining players dwindles, the tension mounts—every step could be a decisive move or a costly mistake. A keen eye for color and lightning-fast reflexes are the keys to victory for the Hunters.
